Water treatment

Water treatment technology

Comprehensive Water Treatment Systems

Water treatment involves technologies that produce high-quality drinking water or process water for industrial applications. Raw water sources may include fresh surface or groundwater (up to 0.5 g/L salinity), brackish water (0.5-25 g/L), seawater (25-45 g/L), and - when required - treated wastewater or recycled process water.

Water treatment types and its functionalities

To produce drinking water that meets national standards and World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines, the following treatment processes are required:

Ultrafiltration (UF)

Reverse Osmosis (RO)

RO with UF

Containerized Water Treatment Systems

Pre-engineered containerized systems equipped with components from leading global manufacturers are offered for treatment of various feed waters. For high-purity water (e.g., high-pressure boilers), a containerized electrodeionization (EDI) block can be supplied in addition and fully synchronized with the UF/RO design.

Benefits of Containerized Systems

Significant cost reduction - no building construction needed.
No need to create, coordinate, or approve a new project.
Mobility: relocate systems when necessary, place to place.
Short lead time: assembly and commissioning on delivery (total ~4-6 months).

Water treatment | Mongolia

Ultrafiltration (UF)

  • Aim of removing suspended substances (SS), dissolved iron/manganese, color, bacteria and viruses (to purify fresh water)
  • Polymer membrane - non-corrosive Polytethylsulfone (PES) material
  • Compact design and minimum area for placement
Water treatment | Mongolia

Reverse Osmosis (RO)

  • Pretreatment, in addition to UF-removed substances, excess salts (to purify brackish water)
  • Membranes up to 600 m² ft. surfaces allowing to increase the membrane performance by 35%
  • Square housings to accommodate up to 48 RO membranes in one UV / RO container
Water treatment | Mongolia

RO with UF

  • Pre-cleaning for removal, in addition to UF-removed substances, majority of salts (to purify sea water)
